The liberal media went crazy watching President Donald Trump and France’s President Emmanuel Macron’s affectionate departure in Paris last week.

“He’s a great guy – smart, strong … he loves holding my hand,” Trump said of Macron in a New York Times article on Wednesday. “People don’t realize, he loves holding my hand – that’s good!”

Footage of the world leaders and their wives saying goodbye to each other was mocked by news outlets, including MSNBC, with Anchor Katy Tur saying the two were “enjoying new romance.”

A guest on the network reacted by saying, “Lord, help us.”

“The latest handshake that was seen around the world lasted nearly 30 seconds,” Tur announced as an on-screen clock did a count-down. “There was a lot of leaning in, with President Trump at one point using his other hand to pat Macron on the chest.”

It was the same reaction the press had to Macron and Trump’s first-ever handshake in May at a NATO meeting in Brussels. Macron himself only added to the scandal by telling reporters at the time: “My handshake with him, it’s not innocent. It’s not the alpha and the omega of politics, but a moment of truth.”

The liberal media apparently hates it when President Trump gets along well with other world leaders. The latest breaking news has been about Trump going over to President Vladimir Putin at a dinner after the G20 summit earlier this month. They’re now calling it a “previously undisclosed conversation,” as they feed fuel to the fire underneath the false narrative that Trump and his administration “colluded” with the Russians to win the 2016 election.

“There was no ‘second meeting’ between President Trump and President Putin, just a brief conversation at the end of a dinner. The insinuation that the White House has tried to ‘hide’ a second meeting is false, malicious and absurd,” said a White House official.

Trump tweeted out his disgust on Tuesday: “Fake News story of secret dinner with Putin is ‘sick.’ All G 20 leaders, and spouses, were invited by the Chancellor of Germany. Press knew!”

He pointed out that the media’s portrayal of the friendly overture twisted it into something “sinister.”
