Trump Meets With Kanye West

After requesting a meeting with President-Elect Trump, West visited Trump Tower in New York where he and his entourage ascended the high rise to talk with Trump.

Following a 15 minute meeting Tuesday morning, Trump, along with his daughter, Ivanka, accompanied the rapper to the lobby of the building. This is something he only had only done once before with Masayoshi Son, the chief executive of SoftBank in Japan.

Trump told reporters of West, “We’re just friends, just friends. He’s a good man. Going well. Long time – We’ve been friends for a long time. Life, we discussed life.”

As Kanye left Trump said: “Man, you take care of yourself, I’ll see you soon.”

When Kanye was questioned about his rumored presidential run in 2020 he answered only by saying, “I just want you to take my picture right now.”

While West did not vote in the recent election, he says that if he had, it would have been for Trump.

Sources of the Daily Mail, have said that the transition team is scouting talent to perform at the Trump’s upcoming inauguration. They said that the team had approached them offering cash or a government appointment to get performers on board.   An inaugural committee spokesperson has denied these claims.
