Senator John McCain (R- AZ), was diagnosed with cancer during his recent surgery. The announcement came on Wednesday evening from his office, the cancer is in his brain.
The healthcare bill vote in the senate was delayed this week because of McCain’s surgery, but there was no mention that the 80-year-old Republican was suffering from cancer. Thus, the news comes as a complete shock.
Reaction to the news has sparked reaction from both sides of the political aisle. Social media is flooded with well wishes for Sen. McCain.
