Last night, Dennis Michael Lynch ripped into president Obama for not breaking from his vacation to visit the flood zone in Louisiana. A resident of the flood area saw THE DML DAILY REPORT that went viral on social media. He sent DML a thank you letter for bringing the floods the attention it needs. Included in the letter as some scathing words for President Obama.
The media has ignored the floods. Instead they are covering the Olympics, Trump’s campaign, and President Obama’s vacation activities. Trump decided to stop campaigning for the day to travel to Louisiana and provide comfort to the victims, plus bring the media with him to focus on the people who need help.
FROM ABC NEWS: Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, landed in Louisiana today to meet with local officials and survey the flood damage in the devastated Baton Rouge and Lafayette communities.
Pence, along with his wife Karen and daughter Charlotte, arrived ahead of Trump this morning and received a briefing on the damage.
Once Trump touched down in his private plane, Pence went on board to meet Trump.
Trump was then greeted on the tarmac by Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, Lieutenant Gov. Billy Nungesser, Commissioner Eric Skrmetta, Rep. Steve Scalise and Rep. Garret Graves.
