Trump personally called a particular Fox News host before Paris announcement

During a broadcast of “The Five” on Fox News, co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle revealed that President Trump called her Thursday morning seeking advice prior to announcing his decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris climate agreement.

“I think he did the brave and courageous thing and, in fact, I told him that this morning at 8 a.m. when he called,” Guilfoyle said during the Thursday broadcast of “The Five.”

When Guilfoyle’s co-hosts questioned why Trump had called her, she said that the president wanted to talk about several issues such as climate change, taxes and “The Five.”

There is speculation that Guilfoyle, a former attorney, might be under consideration to replace White House press secretary Sean Spicer. In a recent interview with Mercury News in San Jose, Calif., Guilfoyle said that the possibility of her being offered a communications job in the White House has been “raised by a number of people.”

Watch Guilfoyle’s revelation at approximately the 6-minute mark in the video below.
