President Trump announced Wednesday morning that he would be having lunch at the White House today with Republican senators concerning health care, and he warned, “They MUST keep their promise to America!”

The GOP healthcare plan officially fell off the cliff Monday evening after two additional GOP senators withdrew their support, guaranteeing it did not have enough votes to pass.

At the luncheon Wednesday, the president warned the GOP senators, “We should repeal and replace (Obamacare) and we shouldn’t leave town until this bill is on my desk.”

Trump emphasized that the senators should cancel their August recess. “We shouldn’t leave town until this is complete. We should hammer this out and get it done.”

“Any senator who votes against starting debate is really telling America that you’re fine with Obamacare,” Trump told them.

President Trump was seated next to Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.), who had opposed an earlier Obamacare repeal and replace plan, and took a jab at him, saying, “Look, he wants to remain a senator, doesn’t he?”

Directing his words to Heller, he continued, “The people of your state are going to appreciate what you, hopefully, will do.”
