During a ceremony Saturday at the Royal Court in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia King Salman bestowed the kingdom’s highest civilian honor; a gold medallion known as the King Abdulaziz al Saud Collar, to President Trump.
Placing the medallion around the American president’s neck, the king then declared that Trump was being honored for “his quest to enhance security and stability in the region and around the world.”
First Lady Melania, first daughter Ivanka, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner and Chief Strategist Steve Bannon were in attendance as White House delegates for Trump’s first trip abroad as POTUS.
