At a stop in Michigan during President-Elect Trump’s “Thank You Tour,” he discussed saying, Merry Christmas, and how the well known holiday phrase would be making its comeback, in his efforts to “Make America Great Again.”
Trump told supporters in Grand Rapids Friday about his plans to bring back the seasonal greeting. “And Merry Christmas everybody! Merry Christmas. Right? Merry Christmas,” said Trump as the crowd cheered. “They reminded me. We’re going to start saying Merry Christmas again.”
“How about all those department stores?” Trump continued. “They have the bells, and they have the red walls, and they have the snow, but they don’t have ‘Merry Christmas.’ I think they’re going to start putting up ‘Merry Christmas.’”
The crowd responded to his Christmas agenda by erupting in a loud applause of approval.
As public offices have been forced to remove Christmas displays like the nativity scene, it has caused many people to wonder if there has been a “war on Christmas.”
According to The Blaze, organizations such as Google recognize the Islamic holiday of Ramadan, but have been known to ignore Christmas as a religious holiday.
