After the U.N. Security Council’s voted last week to condemn Israeli settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter on Monday to slam the United Nations and question their effectiveness.
In the Tweet Trump said the U.N. has “such great potential,” but it has become “just a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time. So sad!”

On Friday, Trump warned, “As to the U.N., things will be different after Jan. 20th,” referring to the day he takes office.

Israel’s ambassador to the United States also slammed the U.N. on Monday for their adoption of the anti-Israeli resolution.
According to Fox News, the ambassador suggested that Trump’s administration and Congress take a close look at how much money the U.S. gives to the U.N., implying that the U.S. government needs to cut their funding.
