Trump signs funding order for NASA

On Tuesday, President Trump signed the NASA Transition Authorization Act which sets a goal to send a “crewed mission to Mars” by the 2030s.

The bill gives NASA $19.5 billion in funding for the fiscal year 2018, which is a little more than Trump had originally requested for the agency.

Trump signed the bill surrounded by Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and other authors and sponsors of the bill.
