Trump silences CNN reporter with one word (video)

President Donald J. Trump met with President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan on Monday. While in the Oval office for a brief avail with the press corp, Trump was adamant in his refusal to answer one offensive question from CNN reporter Jim Acosta, telling him sternly to leave the room, with one word: “Out.”

The moment happened after Trump made remarks regarding his meeting with President Nazarbayev. The press was asked to leave, but the ever-persistent Acosta lobbed an inflammatory question at the Commander in Chief, prompting a biting response.

The Daily Caller described the exchange:

Donald Trump opened himself to the White House press corps for the first time after Democratic lawmakers leaked his controversial “s***hole” comments to the media last week, and delivered yet another exchange with reporters in the process.

Trump touted economic achievement over the last couple months of his administration, noting the historically low black unemployment numbers and the return of manufacturing jobs.

After the comments, Trump thanked the press for being there. As staffers asked the press to leave the Oval Office, a barrage of questions were shouted at the president. Many were shouted by CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta. Acosta loudly asked about Norway and Steve Bannon, causing the White House staff to reprimand him with a quick ”Jim, thank you. Please exit. Thanks, everyone.”

Trump, for his part, had a one word response to Acosta’s questioning:  “Out.”

Later, Acosta complained about being forced out of the Roosevelt room when he again tried to elicit a response from Trump. In his tweet (see below), and during a rehashing with Wolf Blitzer (also below), Acosta lamented the treatment he received at the White House. He told Blitzer that White House press staff were yelling at him, drowning him out so that the president could not hear his questions, which he was asking despite being told there would be no questions.
