Trump made a resounding return to his policy base in Ohio Wednesday, promoting his infrastructure plan and encouraging the passage of the ObamaCare replacement bill through Senate.

Speaking at Cincinnati Municipal Lunken Airport before a crowd of the Ohio middle class that help form the backbone of his support, Trump pledged his new bill would right the wrongs of ObamaCare.

“Obamacare is in a total death spiral and the problems will only get worse if Congress fails to act,” Trump said.

Before the speech he met with two families the White House described as “victims” of ObamaCare on board Air Force One. From Ohio and Kentucky respectively, Trump described the families as going through “turmoil” at the hands of increased premiums and dwindling choices in Obama-era healthcare plans.

Furthermore, Trump primed the audience for his infrastructure plan, which would utilize public-private partnerships to fund the improvements with the $200 billion in tax breaks Trump has preached. This could leverage as much $1 trillion in construction.

“Americans deserve the best infrastructure in the world,” Trump said.

The speech couldn’t come at a more crucial time for the Trump administration as they attempt to make good on their campaign promises while riding out the storm that is the Russia investigation.
