On Tuesday, the White House staff revealed it will be joining President Trump in skipping this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner
Citing “solidarity” with Trump as the reason, representatives reportedly informed White House Correspondents’ Association president Jeff Mason they have no plans to attend.
Early in his presidency, Trump announced he would be sitting out the event due to continued media bias against him.
Despite their refusal to attend, Mason has stated an invitation remains open to Trump and the administration for the Apr. 29 event.
In March, Time and People magazines canceled their annual pre-White House Correspondents’ Dinner party.
