The president started his Sunday morning by tweeting out a swipe at the New York Times and the TV ad they will air tonight during the Oscars. He also sent out his second tweet in 24 hours about the DNC election.
His tweet on Saturday night was a sarcastic slap at newly elected DNC Chairman, Tom Perez. The president offered congratulations to Perez by saying it was a great victory for the GOP.
Perez returned the tweet stating he and the runner-up, Rep. Ellison (D-Minn.), would together be Trump’s worst nightmare. Note: Perez nominated Ellison for DNC Deputy Chair moments after Perez was named DNC Chairman.
Doubling down on the DNC election results, President Trump launched this tweet on Sunday morning about Perez winning and Ellison, who was backed by former presidential candidate Sen. Sanders, coming in second place to Perez: “The race for DNC Chairman was, of course, totally “rigged.” Bernie’s guy, like Bernie himself, never had a chance. Clinton demanded Perez!”
