Chicago is a total mess. According to police records, the number of homicides in 2017 are now outpacing those in 2016. On Wednesday evening, Chicago recorded its 99th homicide — two days earlier than it did last year.
President Trump took notice of the murders last night when he tweeted a comment about the seven people who were shot to death in Chicago on Wednesday, when five victims were killed over two hours, including a woman who was eight months pregnant.
The president tweeted: “Seven people shot and killed yesterday in Chicago. What is going on there – totally out of control. Chicago needs help!”
What sort of help Chicago needs, or what he plans to do about it, was not mentioned.
As usual, his tweet sparked anti-Trump comments, including the one below, asking the president if Chicago is in Sweden.
