President Trump took to Twitter Friday afternoon to rip into Bloomberg News for violating the trust one gives a reporter when stating a comment is off the record.

Trump tweeted: “Wow, I made OFF THE RECORD COMMENTS to Bloomberg concerning Canada, and this powerful understanding was BLATANTLY VIOLATED. Oh well, just more dishonest reporting. I am used to it. At least Canada knows where I stand!”

As DML News reported earlier Friday, the president’s remarks about his negotiation tactics with Canada and the current NAFTA agreement were revealed by a Bloomberg reporter despite the president slating the comments as “off the record.”
