Wednesday morning, amid the aftermath of a bombshell news day, when two of President Trump’s former associates made headlines, as Paul Manafort was found guilty of tax fraud and bank fraud, and former lawyer Michael Cohen plead guilty to campaign finance violations, President Trump spoke out on Twitter.

The president noted that former president Barack Obama also had a campaign finance violation, which was settled with no issues. Trump tweeted:

Michael Cohen plead guilty to two counts of campaign finance violations that are not a crime. President Obama had a big campaign finance violation and it was easily settled!
