TRUMP TWEET: Canceling Press Briefings?

Written by DML
Perhaps it’s a dose of wishful thinking on my part, but over the past two years it’s become a regular occurrence for the president to repeat, or to suggest, the same words or message uttered on a DML program.  Dating back to my show on Newmax, DML UNFILTERED, and fast forwarding to the current Walk & Talk programs, it’s been no less than 20 times when something is said on my show, and then the president repeats it — or something like it — the next day.

Case in point, which is near impossible to ignore, is the conversation between myself and Harlan Hill during yesterday’s Walk & Talk.

On Thursday, I had mentioned to Harlan how much I like Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and how the press corp is trying to decapitate Spicer and Sanders each and every day.  In addition to those remarks, I emphasized how the liberal media will never let go of the Russian narrative — meaning they will stick with the false story that claims there is wrong-doing between “Trump and Russia.”  Despite having no evidence to hang him with, the media will run with the Russia narrative for the entire time Donald J. Trump sits in the Oval Office.   For those of you who are new to me, this is something I predicted the day after the election, and so far I’ve been spot on.

During our conversation, Harlan suggested that Trump should put a stop to the daily briefings.  I agreed with him in the sense that we elected Trump to change things up, not to follow the status quo.  Harlan suggested he use the White House video team to put out daily briefings.  I said, “Yes, and he can take write-in questions and address the ones he wants.  This way we control the narrative instead of the press controlling the false stories.”

It’s now a day later and the president tweeted out the following just moments ago:  “As a very active President with lots of things happening, it is not possible for my surrogates to stand at podium with perfect accuracy! Maybe the best thing to do would be to cancel all future “press briefings” and hand out written responses for the sake of accuracy???”
