On Saturday afternoon, President Donald J. Trump tweeted a thank you to rescuers and a storm update for Florence.

Trump tweeted: Thank you @nycemergencymgt!

The tweet included a post from NYC Emergency Management, which had a video embedded and the following caption: Water rescues are underway in River Bend, NC. US&R NY-TF1 Bravo and partners are hard at work.

Next, Trump retweeted a post from North Carolina Emergency Management that read: New Evacuation Orders are in place. Go to https://t.co/Yx3twhyOqj to see if you are in an area with a mandatory or volunteer evacuation. If you decide to leave your home, be sure to check https://t.co/0PMxxOuueW before you leave to ensure your route is clear.

Then, Trump tweeted another thank you to Brock Long, administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He quoted Long as  thanking the president for his support.

Trump tweeted: Thank you Brock – it is my honor! “We (@FEMA) have never had the support that we have had from this President.”
