TRUMP TWEET: Facebook ads & Russia hoax

Written by DML

The president published two tweets Friday morning in response to Facebook handing over “Russian ads” to Congress.

His tweets come on the heels of reports of Kremlin-linked groups buying 3,000 ads on Facebook, totaling $100,000, to help manipulate voters in the 2016 election.

Recently, Facebook told D.C. investigators that it discovered thousands of political ads published on its platform over the past two years and that they were linked to fake accounts based in Russia. The social media network announced Thursday that it was handing over the ads and relative material to congressional investigators.

In his first tweet Friday morning, Trump wrote: “The Russia hoax continues, now it’s ads on Facebook. What about the totally biased and dishonest Media coverage in favor of Crooked Hillary?”

In a follow-up tweet, Trump wrote: “The greatest influence over our election was the Fake News Media ‘screaming’ for Crooked Hillary Clinton. Next, she was a bad candidate!”
