Trump Tweet: Fake news ignores economy

In two Sunday morning tweets, President Trump called out the “#FakeNews” media, pointing out that the “great economic news” has not gotten any coverage since he was elected.

He then went on to publish the number of jobs added since his election and highlighted the sinking unemployment rate.

“The MSM doesn’t report the great economic news since Election Day. up 16%. up 19.5%,” Trump tweeted.

“Drilling & energy sector … way up. Regulations way down. 600,000+ new jobs added. Unemployment down to 4.3%. Business and economic enthusiasm way up- record levels!”

Trump’s tweets have been seen as a distraction by critics, who have been calling for him to stop tweeting, especially when said tweets have to do with the “fake news” media coming after him. However, critics say his good news reports about issues that are not being covered in the mainstream media are a welcome change.
