Trump Tweet: Freedom Concert, Fake News

President Trump sent out a Twitter post late Saturday afternoon, announcing that he was looking forward to attending a “Celebrate Freedom” concert to be held Saturday night, with many of his evangelical friends.

The concert is scheduled to be held at 8:00 pm at the Kenedy Center Concert Hall in Washington, D.C.  President Trump and Dr. Robert Jeffress are both listed as speakers at the event. Jeffress is the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dallas.

A website advertising the event explains that it will be an “unforgettable patriotic evening” featuring music from a 500-voice choir, along with a tribute to veterans by President Trump. Patients from the Walter Reed Medical Center are also expected to attend.

Trump tweeted, “Getting rdy to leave for tonight’s Celebrate Freedom Concert honoring our GREAT VETERANS w/ so many of my evangelical friends. See you soon! “

Apparently all ready for the concert with time yet to kill, more tweets followed from the President – this time about fake news:

“The FAKE & FRAUDULENT NEWS MEDIA is working hard to convince Republicans and others I should not use social media – but remember, I won….”

“….the 2016 election with interviews, speeches and social media. I had to beat #FakeNews, and did. We will continue to WIN!”

“I am thinking about changing the name #FakeNews CNN to #FraudNewsCNN!”
