On Wednesday, President Trump sent out a video tweet about how honored he was to have awarded the Medal of Honor to former Specialist Five James C. McCloughan for “conspicuous gallantry” during the Vietnam War.

According to Trump, it was his “great honor to pay tribute to a VET who went above & beyond the call of duty to PROTECT our COMRADES, our COUNTRY, & OUR FREEDOM!”

In the video, Trump and Gen. James Mattis can be seen at the prestigious event to honor the veteran.

Trump tweeted earlier Wednesday about his new program to jumpstart American innovation.
