Thursday evening, President Donald J. Trump tweeted about the tragic bridge collapse in Florida.

A pedestrian bridge in Miami, Florida collapsed Thursday, leaving 8 cars trapped underneath it. Witness accounts describe a horrific scene, and multiple deaths and injuries are being reported.

In response to the news, Trump wrote: Continuing to monitor the heartbreaking bridge collapse at FIU – so tragic. Many brave First Responders rushed in to save lives. Thank you for your courage. Praying this evening for all who are affected.
