President Trump’s Tuesday morning Twitter post was all about jobs.
He tweeted, “Big announcement by Ford today. Major investment to be made in three Michigan plants. Car companies coming back to U.S. JOBS! JOBS! JOBS!”
The Detroit News reported Monday that Ford Motor Co. was indeed set to make an announcement Tuesday that they would be making “significant investments” in their Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Flat Rock Assembly Plant and the Romeo Engine Plant.
Roughly three months ago, the company announced the cancellation of a $1.6 billion plant construction project in Mexico.
In January, Ford announced an investment of $700 million at the Flat Rock assembly plant that would create 700 new jobs in Michigan.
