On Wednesday morning, President Trump sent out a tweet declaring his platform agenda to tackle tax cuts and tax reform.

In his tweet, Trump writes: “Will be going to North Dakota today to discuss tax reform and tax cuts. We are the highest taxed nation in the world – that will change.”

In July, it was reported Trump would be traveling more, using his star power in an attempt to garner support for tax legislation.

“In terms of travel, I think you will see him out there more … in the states where we need votes,” said White House’s legislative liaison Marc Short, according to Reuters.

Short made the remarks during a tax panel discussion, an event sponsored by Republican donors Charles and David Koch through Americans for Prosperity. The group organizes supporters who favor conservative legislation.

Short said the White House is looking to groups like Americans for Prosperity because national groups that share the same ideology can help them gain support for their agenda. Short seemed to feel tax reform was less complicated than health insurance and appeared confident about the administration’s chances of success in passing tax reform.

At the same panel, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin commented on tax reform, as well. He said, “The message is [tax reform] may not be perfect for everything you want, but it’s going to be really, really good for the economy and better than what we have.”
