Trump Tweet: Responds to Florida school shooting


In response to the mass casualty shooting which occurred Wednesday afternoon in South Florida, at the Stoneman Douglas High School, President Trump sent out two Twitter posts expressing his condolences and concerns.

Reportedly, there are multiple fatalities, with between 20 to 50 people injured. A suspect has been taken into custody, and has been identified as a student at the school.

Trump tweeted, “My prayers and condolences to the families of the victims of the terrible Florida shooting. No child, teacher or anyone else should ever feel unsafe in an American school.

“Just spoke to Governor Rick Scott. We are working closely with law enforcement on the terrible Florida school shooting.”

The White House cancelled their scheduled daily press briefing Wednesday, in response to the school shooting, which occurred in Parkland, Broward County.
