Late Thursday night, BuzzFeed published a “bombshell” story, claiming that President Trump had instructed his then-attorney Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about previous negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow.

The president responded to the story in a Twitter post Friday morning, first quoting Kevin Corke of Fox News, then adding his own comment.  Trump also repeated an earlier warning to “watch” Cohen’s father-in-law, Fima Shusterman.

The Washington Examiner explained that Shusterman “loaned millions to a Chicago cab company owner, who was mentioned in the FBI warrants used to raid Cohen’s home and office.”

Trump’s full tweet reads:

Kevin Corke, @FoxNews “Don’t forget, Michael Cohen has already been convicted of perjury and fraud, and as recently as this week, the Wall Street Journal has suggested that he may have stolen tens of thousands of dollars….” Lying to reduce his jail time! Watch father-in-law!
