President Trump tweeted his condolences to the people of New Zealand Friday morning, following a mass shooting attack on two mosques in which at least 49 people were slain.

New Zealand officials have taken the shooter and three other individuals into custody, and are considering it a terror attack.

A 28-year-old Australian man living in New Zealand has claimed responsibility for the attack, publishing a lengthy manifesto online prior to the attack, and live-streaming it on Facebook as he opened fire on people in the mosques.

Trump tweeted:

My warmest sympathy and best wishes goes out to the people of New Zealand after the horrible massacre in the Mosques. 49 innocent people have so senselessly died, with so many more seriously injured. The U.S. stands by New Zealand for anything we can do. God bless all!
