President Donald J. Trump sent out a tweet Sunday that’s creating a lot of buzz. In the tweet, the president said he’s spoken to South Korean President Moon Jae-in regarding North Korea, and offered up a new moniker for it’s leader.
The president tweeted: “I spoke with President Moon of South Korea last night. Asked him how Rocket Man is doing. Long gas lines forming in North Korea. Too bad!”
President Trump was referring to the supreme leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-Un, in his tweet, dubbing him “Rocket Man.”
The White House has been keeping tabs on the rouge nation, while the United Nations (UN) Security council leveled new restrictions against North Korea, unanimously adopting a US-drafted resolution on Monday. Those sanctions include targeting shipments of oil and other fuel that can be used in missile testing.
In comments made Saturday, Kim said North Korea is close to achieving military “equilibrium” with the United States.
