Trump Tweet: School safety roundtable (video)

Thursday morning, President Trump held a roundtable listening session on school safety with local leaders, educators and law enforcement officers, in an urgent effort to solve the problem of deadly attacks and shootings in the nation’s schools.

The press was allowed to film the nearly one-hour session, as Trump received comments and suggestions from participants in the panel.

After the session ended, the president sent out a statement in a Twitter post, along with a video clip from the meeting.

Today, it was my great honor to host a School Safety Roundtable at the @WhiteHouse with State and local leaders, law enforcement officers, and education officials. There is nothing more important than protecting our children. They deserve to be safe, and we will deliver!
