President Trump dismissed claims that an editing error led to confusion over a bombshell New York Times story on a new incident of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The criticism focused around a report published Saturday that said a former classmate of Kavanaugh said he witnessed him exposing himself and forcing a female classmate to touch his penis at a dorm party.

The article goes on to state the following:

A correction to the essay posted Sunday night said the woman involved in the alleged incident did not speak to The Times and that her friends say she does not recall that it happened.

Trump tweeted:

“The New York Times is now blaming an editor for the horrible mistake they made in trying to destroy or influence Justice Brett Kavanaugh. It wasn’t the editor, the Times knew everything. They are sick and desperate, losing in so many ways!”

Donald Trump Jr. also commented on the explanation by the Times writers. He tweeted:

“The editors!!! OMG this is even worse than I thought. No one’s actually surprised anymore and they will keep doing the same thing over and over because everyone in their leftist bubble is fine trying to destroy good people ideologically opposes to them. Disgusting!”
