President Trump signed the historic tax reform bill Friday morning in the Oval Office, keeping his promise to give the American people a tax cut for Christmas.
Democrats have protested loudly over the passage of the bill, alleging it will hurt Americans and will only benefit the wealthy. Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer ranted on Wednesday, the day the bill was passed, “There are only two places where America is popping champagne over the #GOPTaxScam: The @WhiteHouse & the corporate boardrooms, including Trump Tower.”
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi had alleged that the tax bill would ship jobs overseas – when in fact, President Trump has used the tax bill as one of the reasons why he believes jobs will return from overseas.
After signing the bill, President Trump shot out a statement on Twitter that included a slam at the Democrats.
“95% of Americans will pay less or, at worst, the same amount of taxes (mostly far less). The Dems only want to raise your taxes!” Trump tweeted.

Americans aren’t stupid, as Paul Ryan would suggest. They witnessed a monumental con job: Republicans selling them out to the top 1% and corporations shipping jobs overseas. Rest assured, voters are going to make the GOP pay. pic.twitter.com/ELumjMTAV7
