President Trump tweeted out a Fox News video report Wednesday, in which they announced that a new $1.6 billion Toyota and Mazda plant is scheduled to be built in Huntsville, Alabama, creating 4,000 new jobs.

The plant is expected to manufacture 300,000 new vehicles per year, and will build the Toyota Corolla compact car and a small Mazda SUV. Production is targeted to begin by 2021.

Several states were competing for the plant, and Alabama Commerce Secretary Greg Canfield said their state gave an incentive package that included $370 million in tax abatements and investment rebates.

President Tump tweeted, “Cutting taxes and simplifying regulations makes America the place to invest! Great news as Toyota and Mazda announce they are bringing 4,000 JOBS and investing $1.6 BILLION in Alabama, helping to further grow our economy!”
