Republican lawmakers, along with President Trump, took a victory lap Wednesday, in celebration of the passage of the massive tax reform bill expected to benefit America’s middle-class families and bring jobs back to the United States.
The bill also removes the individual mandate in the Obamacare program, which required people to purchase health insurance or pay a penalty. In addition, it opens up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska to oil and gas drilling.
Immediately after the final vote was determined, buses were waiting to transport all GOP House and Senate members to the White House for a special event, where President Trump and other lawmakers gave public remarks celebrating the bill’s passage.

Steve Scalise, who was badly wounded in the shooting at the congressional baseball practice earlier this year.
Soon after the passage of the tax bill, several major American companies announced massive investments in American business, in the form of bonuses and raises to their employees.
President Trump sent out a video clip on Twitter Wednesday evening, with the huge caption, “WE ARE MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
A video of the entire event is included below, after President Trump’s tweet.
