Trump Tweet: Welcomes foreign visitor (photos, video)

Friday, President Trump had visitors to the White House – Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and his wife, Lucy Turnbull.

Trump and Turnbull held a joint press conference Friday afternoon, in which they both made statements and responded to questions. Relations between the two leaders had gotten off to a rocky start a year ago, but that appears to have healed, as they backed each other Friday on policies regarding immigration and taxes.

Friday afternoon, President Trump sent out a statement on Twitter, along with photos from the visit:

Today, @FLOTUS Melania and I were honored to welcome Prime Minister @TurnbullMalcolm and Mrs. Turnbull of Australia to the @WhiteHouse!

The two couples also held a brief photo session and joint remarks earlier in the visit.
