Sunday afternoon, President Trump suddenly announced a change in his schedule, regarding the promise he sarcastically made earlier this week to hold a “fake news awards” ceremony.

The president, who has continuously hit back hard against the media when they report erroneous news to the public, took it to a new level last Tuesday, Jan. 2, when he tweeted, “I will be announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR on Monday at 5:00 o’clock. Subjects will cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media. Stay tuned!”

However, other presidential matters must have come up for Monday, as the president sent out a statement on Twitter Sunday afternoon, saying the “fake news awards” ceremony will be postponed, due to the high level of importance and interest.

“The Fake News Awards, those going to the most corrupt & biased of the Mainstream Media, will be presented to the losers on Wednesday, January 17th, rather than this coming Monday. The interest in, and importance of, these awards is far greater than anyone could have anticipated!” Trump tweeted.

Trump also drilled home a positive message of the rising stock market and the improvement on the JOBS situation in America, which is what he has stated that the media should be focusing on:

“The Stock Market has been creating tremendous benefits for our country in the form of not only Record Setting Stock Prices, but present and future Jobs, Jobs, Jobs. Seven TRILLION dollars of value created since our big election win!”
