Trump Tweets: Condolences and Congrats

The president took to Twitter on Sunday with two sharply different messages.

In the first message, he recognized the tragic events that took place in Colorado earlier in the day.  He wrote: “My deepest condolences to the victims of the terrible shooting in Douglas County , and their families. We love our police and law enforcement – God Bless them all!

In his second message, Trump sort of gave himself a well-deserved pat on the back.  He wrote: “What a year it’s been, and we’re just getting started. Together, we are MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! Happy New Year!!”  The comment was attached to a video recap.
