TRUMP TWEETS Again: “Cost of Border Wall”

President Trump started his Saturday morning with a tweet about the number of refugees entering the U.S. now that his ban has been lifted. Shortly thereafter, he shifted to another national security concern: the southern border.

This week, DML reported on a document released by the Department of Homeland Security that claims to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico will cost taxpayers almost double the original estimate.

Details of the report and costs can be viewed by clicking here.

On Saturday morning, President Trump tweeted about the report. He assured the American people that he has not been involved in the pricing and design process, and that, when he does get involved, the price will drop.

“I am reading that the great border WALL will cost more than the government originally thought, but I have not gotten involved in the design or negotiations yet. When I do, just like with the F-35 FighterJet or the Air Force One Program, price will come WAY DOWN!”
