TRUMP TWEETS: Dallas Cowboys and NFL

The Dallas Cowboys, also known as America’s Team, took a different approach to the protests that showered over the NFL this past weekend.

On Monday night, team owner Jerry Jones locked arms with his players and coaches as they stood on the field prior to the national anthem. Together, as a team, they took a knee in a sign of “unity” but then immediately stood up in time for the national anthem.

The kneeling was received by a roar of booing from the crowd.

In response to the event, President Trump took to Twitter on Monday morning and launched a 3-part tweet.

TWEET 1: “Ratings for NFL football are way down except before game starts when people tune in to see whether or not our country will be disrespected!”

TWEET 2: “The booing at the NFL football game last night, when the entire Dallas team dropped to its knees, was loudest I have ever heard. Great anger”

TWEET 3: “But while Dallas dropped to its knees as a team, they all stood up for our National Anthem. Big progress being made-we all love our country!”
