Thursday morning, President Trump released a statement on First Lady Melania Trump’s trip to Africa:

Our country’s great First Lady, Melania, is doing really well in Africa. The people love her, and she loves them! It is a beautiful thing to see.

The president then made an indirect reference to the situation happening closer to home, as the FBI just turned their 7th investigation into Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh over to the Senate.

Trump wrote: “This is a very important time in our country. Due Process, Fairness and Common Sense are now on trial!”

The president then re-tweeted a picture someone had posted just days after the 2016 election, when Trump was elected as the next president. The photo is of Trump at a campaign rally, and the 2016 Twitter post includes the following statement:

While armed with the power of our Vote, we proudly & peacefully revolted. Never doubt this was an American revolution#MAGA #PresidentTrump.
