On Monday, President Donald J. Trump tweeted about the “forgotten voters of the 2016 election” and economic success under his presidency after leaving a roundtable discussion with business leaders in Minnesota.

“The forgotten voters of the 2016 Election are now doing great,” Trump tweeted. “The Steel Industry is rebuilding and expanding at a pace that it hasn’t seen in decades. Our Country has one of the best Economies in many years, perhaps ever. Unemployment numbers best in 51 years. Wow!”

In another tweet, Trump wrote, “God bless the people of France!”

The tweet comes after a fire broke out at the famous, historic Notre Dame Cathedral in France. Much of the structure was damaged, according to the Associated Press.

“The deputy mayor of Paris says Notre Dame Cathedral has suffered ‘colossal damages’ from a fire that started in the spire and caused it to collapse,” the AP reported. “Deputy Mayor Emmanuel Gregoire said first responders now trying to salvage the art and other priceless pieces stored in the cathedral.”
