Wednesday, President Trump spoke at a signing ceremony on the White House lawn, and signed legislation that initiated a major overhaul of the Veterans Affairs Department, giving veterans more choices in the private healthcare sector.

During his speech, the president acknowledged the 74th anniversary D-Day, and the sacrifices of veterans, and said America must now do what we can for them.

“They gave their heart, their blood, and their very lives on those beaches to drive out the enemy and strike a lasting victory for our country, and for freedom,” Trump added.

President Trump then tweeted out a video clip of that segment of his speech:

Earlier Wednesday, President Trump also extended his congratulations to Rep. Dana Rohrabacher of California for winning the top spot in Tuesday night’s primary election, as he seeks to retain his Congressional seat.

Trump tweeted: Congratulations to Dana Rohrabacher on his big California win. We are proud of you Dana!
