In a Tuesday afternoon tweet, President Donald Trump promoted a recent poll in which most Americans reported perceiving themselves as better off financially during his administration than during the Obama administration.

“A recent Emerson College ePoll said that most Americans, especially Hispanics, feel that they are better off under President Trump than they were under President Obama,” Trump tweeted.

The poll to which Trump was referring can be viewed here.

In a subsequent tweet, Trump lamented the challenge American companies face when attempting to conduct business in Europe, and related it to the current situation with NATO.

“The European Union makes it impossible for our farmers and workers and companies to do business in Europe (U.S. has a $151 Billion trade deficit), and then they want us to happily defend them through NATO, and nicely pay for it. Just doesn’t work!” Trump tweeted.
