Trump Tweets Tuesday: Healthcare & Gitmo

President Trump blasted out several Twitter posts Tuesday morning…, and one of them already has everyone talking.

The President voiced his enthusiasm over the new healthcare bill, just released Monday. He has repeatedly promised to “repeal and replace” Obamacare, and the newly unveiled healthcare bill is intended to do just that.

“Our wonderful new Healthcare Bill is now out for review and negotiation. ObamaCare is a complete and total disaster – is imploding fast!” Trump tweeted.

Trump also condemned Obama as “weak,” saying he allowed  Russia to just get stronger and stronger over his eight-year term.

However, the tweet that is already buzzing in the media is this one: “122 vicious prisoners, released by the Obama Administration from Gitmo, have returned to the battlefield. Just another terrible decision!”

The Independent noted that a Director of National Intelligence report released in September stated that 122 out of 693 former Gitmo detainees had been confirmed as having re-engaged in terrorist activities.

However, out of those 122, nine were released under the Obama administration — the others were released under George W. Bush.

FOX & Friends did a report Tuesday morning which referenced the recent U.S. air strike in Yemen wherein former Gitmo detainee Yasir al Silmi was killed.

We also recently reported on another ex-Gitmo detainee, Abu-Zakariya al-Britani, who had returned to terror and blew himself up in a car bomb suicide attack.

Obama released a total of 201 detainees from the Guantanamo Bay prison during his term in office. There were 242 detainees at the detention camp when he came into office, and he was turning them loose right up until his last day in office.

Only 41 prisoners remained on the day of Trump’s inauguration.

In summary, 113 of the Gitmo detainees released by President Bush returned to terror – yet Obama still released another 201 detainees, of which at least 9 are known to have returned to terrorist activities.
