Two tweets from President Donald J. Trump on Sunday highlighted portions of his Friday speech, during which he explained why he was calling for a national emergency over the border wall.

In the two clips, Trump explained that crime and drugs are entering the US through the Mexican border. In one of the clips. Trump specifically acknowledged “Angel” families, or families who had a loved one killed by an illegal immigrant.

“Angel moms, angel dads, angel families; These are great people,” Trump said. “They’re fighting for their children that have been killed by people who were illegally in this country. And the press doesn’t cover them. They don’t want to. And they’re not treated the way they should be. They are fighting for other people because they don’t want what happened to their children or husband or anybody.”
