Trump visits border wall prototypes, slams Calif. Governor (video)

President Trump flew from Washington, D.C. to San Diego, California Tuesday, going to inspect the border wall prototypes built along the U.S.-Mexico border, in an effort to choose which design will be used.

Trump made reference to the existing fence, noting how many holes had been cut in the fence and patched.

He also discussed the benefits of having a wall that agents could see through.

When asked to respond to criticism from California Governor Jerry Brown, who said this money might be better spent elsewhere, Trump responded, “Well, Governor Brown has done a very poor job running California. They have the highest taxes in the United States, the place is totally out of control, you have sanctuary cities where you have criminals living in sanctuary cities, and then the Mayor of Oakland goes out and notifies when ICE is going in to pick them up,” Trump said.

“I have property in California, and the taxes are way out of wack,” Trump added. He said the drugs are pouring through in California, and the taxes are double and triple what they should be.
