Trump will have dinner with six major Republican leaders

It’s been reported by Politico that President Trump will host six important Republican lawmakers for dinner at the White House on Tuesday evening.

Those on the guest list include: Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Cory Gardner (R-Colo.), Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) and Todd Young (R-Ind.), and Reps. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) and Francis Rooney (R-Fla.).

Trump called for the dinner after responding to deadly terrorist attacks in London on Saturday, which caused him to reiterate America’s need to monitor and vet people coming into the U.S., especially from countries that sponsor terrorism.

As the week began, President Trump started tweeting about his blocked travel ban, which is currently being heard on appeal by the Supreme Court. He stated that the Justice Department should have followed his original travel ban instead of the “watered down, politically correct version they submitted to the S.C.”
