President Trump’s first overseas trip appears to have impressed likely U.S. voters with a new Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll showing that 48 percent of likely U.S. Voters approve of his job performance, up five percentage points since May 16. Fifty-two percent disapprove of the job the president is doing.

As for those respondents who feel strongly either way about Trump’s performance, 31% strongly approve and 42 percent strongly disapprove.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia this week, President Trump implored the Saudis and others in Muslim-majority countries to drive out terrorism. According to Rasmussen, voters believe that the Saudis have not been aggressive enough in the fight against terrorism.

Rasmussen also reported that voters view the United States’ relationship with Israel as more important to the stability of the Middle East than America’s relationship with Saudi Arabia.
