Trump’s latest critic on Paris pull out: North Korea

North Korea has joined their voice to the global chorus of critics upset with President Trump’s decision to pull out of the Paris climate accord last week.

“The selfish act of the U.S. does not only have grave consequences for the international efforts to protect the environment but poses great danger to other areas as well,” a spokesman for the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, according to state news agency KCNA.

Trump’s decision was born of a desire to make sure every international agreement the United States is a part of is the best possible scenario for the country. Pyongyang views this as, “the height of egoism and moral vacuum seeking only their own well-being, even at the cost of the entire planet,” CNN reported.

Tensions between the countries have never been higher as the US grows weary over North Korea’s continued efforts to develop nuclear weaponry.
